Parlor collects nothing.

No analytics, no advertising identifiers, no accounts, no crash reporters. This page lists every network connection the app makes so you can hold us to it. Last updated 29 August 2026.

What stays on your device

Your game files. They are never uploaded anywhere.
Settings, controller and keyboard mappings.
The Spotlight index of your games, which lives in Parlor's private on-device index.

iCloud

If you are signed in to iCloud, Parlor stores battery saves, save states with their screenshots, and library metadata (titles, systems, favorites, play time, last-played, DS screen layouts) in the private database of your iCloud account. Apple hosts it; only your devices can read it. We have no access. Turning off iCloud for Parlor in system Settings stops sync; the data on each device is unaffected.

Game Center

Achievement progress is reported to Game Center as percentages. Link play uses Game Center matchmaking to connect two players and relays the emulated cable's bytes between them. Parlor never sends a game's title, hash or file name to Game Center.

Box art

After importing a game, Parlor fetches a cover image from the public libretro-thumbnails collection hosted on GitHub. That request contains the catalog name of the game. It is a plain download with no account or identifier attached, and the image is cached on the device. If you would rather not, keep the device offline while importing; a generated tile is used instead.

Sending games to Apple TV

Transfers run directly between your iPhone or iPad and your Apple TV over your local network, protected by a four-digit code shown on the TV. Nothing is sent to us or through iCloud. iOS asks for local-network permission the first time; it is used only for this.

Feedback

The optional feedback form sends your message, the app version, the platform and OS version, and the device model to the developer through a messaging bot. If you open it from the pause menu it also notes which console you were playing (for example “GBA”) — never the game. Nothing that identifies you is attached, and no message is sent unless you tap Send.

App Store review prompt

After a couple of hours of play across a few days, Parlor may ask once per version whether you'd like to rate it, using Apple's standard prompt. Parlor never sees your answer.

Children

Parlor has no accounts and collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.
