Fast forward

Hold a trigger or tap a pill to run the game at 2×, 4× or 8×. Audio keeps its normal pitch: Parlor time-stretches the whole stream rather than throwing samples away, so nothing squeaks.

Turning it on

Choosing a speed

Settings → Fast-forward speed: 2×, 4× (default) or 8×. Change it while fast-forwarding and the new speed applies immediately.

Sound during fast forward

Parlor keeps music and sound effects near their normal pitch while fast forward is active.

Things to know

Battery saves keep writing on their 30-second schedule during fast forward.
A link cable session runs both games at the slower partner's pace; fast forward is best left off while linked.
Slower devices may not sustain 8× on Nintendo DS games; drop to 4×.
